Canadian Bacon Pizza

A savory and slightly sweet pizza topped with Canadian bacon and gooey mozzarella. Often paired with pineapple for a Hawaiian twist, but great on its own too.

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 pound) loaf french bread
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 16 slices canadian bacon
  • 1 (20 ounce) can unsweetened
  • pineapple tidbits, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • cheese

Directions

  1. Cut bread in half lengthwise, then in half widthwise. Place cut side
  2. up in a foil-lined 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Brush with butter.
  3. Bake at 450 degrees F for 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
  4. Spread marinara sauce over bread. Top with Canadian bacon,
  5. pineapple, green pepper, onions and cheese. Bake for 8-10 minutes
  6. or until cheese is melted. Cut each piece in half.
